HEAVY snow has seen schools close as many others offer parents the chance to collect their children early.

The Barclay School in Stevenage and Woolgrove School in Letchworth GC have both just shut their doors as snow continues to settle.

Mary Exton Primary in Hitchin has closed and will be shut tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday due to problems with the heating.

Camps Hill, Fairlands, St Vincent De Paul and St Margaret Clitherow primary schools in Stevenage will remain open but have said parents can collect their children now.

The same message has also been given to parents at Hitchin Boys’, Norton St Nicholas Primary in Letchworth GC and village primary schools Hexton and Preston.
