The great news is, whatever your GCSE results, North Hertfordshire College (NHC) has got a study programme to help you get to where you want to be in life.

1. Everything we do is about helping you prepare for life in the world of work: we know that you don’t just want a certificate when you leave NHC. You want to be ready to take the next step in your career – whether that’s university, an apprenticeship or a job.
2. We work with local businesses to provide great work experience opportunities for you as part of your course. We’re fortunate to have great relationships with some amazing businesses that are committed to working with our students. NHC students enjoy work experience placements with employers like Fujitsu, Sainsburys, Tesco, Hilton Hotels and TUI Group.
3. We’ll treat you like an adult in charge of your own destiny. If you’re not sure whether staying on at school is for you, we can offer you a more grown up experience. We know that you’re ready to make your own decisions.
4. We’ll support you as you look to progress to higher levels and into work: we know that NHC is a stepping stone. We have a dedicated careers and guidance team who will help you think about what you want to do next throughout your time with us. We also offer higher education courses in a number of areas.
5. We’ll offer you an interesting, relevant course! We know that you’re looking for a course that engages and excites you. All of our tutors are experts in the occupational areas they teach and we work very hard to make sure every session is a great one.
