STUDENTS at Thomas Alleyne have continued to improve on their GCSE results, a week after getting their best ever A-levels.
Forty-one per cent of students achieved five or more A*-C grades, including English and maths, 76 per cent achieved five or more A*-C grades, and 97 per cent achieved one or more grade C.
The most notable performance was from Joshua Burge, who achieved nine A* and two A grades. Other successes included Natalie Tew who got five A* and five A grades, Amy Lewis who got two A*s, five As and a starred distinction in business studies, and Liam Devenish who secured three A*s and five As.
Headteacher Mark Lewis said: “These results confirm that we are an improving school,
“We are pleased with the improvements we have made on last year’s results and we are looking forward to rapid and sustained progress in the future.
“We are extremely proud of our students who have worked hard to achieve their very best. They have been well-supported by dedicated and committed staff who are constantly striving for excellence for every member of our school community.”
