IT was a near perfect pass rate at GCSE for girls attending St Francis’ College in Letchworth GC.
A total of 98 per cent of students achieved five or more grades at A* to C at the school in Broadway.
“I am very proud of the girls` achievements at GCSE,” said headteacher Dorothy MacGinty.
“Once again we have achieved an excellent set of results with 65 per cent of all exams taken achieving an A grade and almost half of those being an A* grade. Twenty two per cent of the girls passed all their exams at A* or A grade with Eileen Chen achieving 12 A*s and Emily Mackie 11 A* grades. “I am particularly delighted with the science results, achieving 85 per cent A*s or As in biology, chemistry and physics. I offer my congratulations to all the girls and staff for another year of excellent results. Well done.”
