IT was another great year for GCSE results at Hitchin Girls’ School, with an impressive 23 students getting all A* to A grades.
Approximately 90 per cent of students got at least five A*-C grades, with more than 80 per cent getting five A*-C grades, including English and maths.
Many of the students will now go on to study A-levels at the school’s sixth form.
Deputy headteacher Donna Lodge said: “We are delighted with the results, which are testament to the hard work and talent of both students and staff.
“It’s particularly exceptional given that we are a non-selective comprehensive school. People often forget that - they think we are a grammar school.”
