ANOTHER record was broken at Highfield School in Letchworth GC with 84 per cent of students gaining five or more GCSEs at A* to C.
After more pupils than ever got A*s and As at A-level last week, the school in Highfield set a new benchmark at GCSE as 61 per cent of students had five or more grades at A* to C, including English and maths.
Top performers were Ben McConnell with 10 A*s, Runah Begum with eight A*s and four As, Rhean Rymell achieved seven A*s and 3As, while Andrew Birdsall was awarded five A*s and six As.
“These results clearly show the school is still continuing its year on year upward trend and I am absolutely delighted that so many students have done so incredibly well,” said headteacher Ian Morris.
