There were a ‘lot of happy tears’ at Hitchin Girls’ School today after students got their GCSE results.
In total, 18 students achieved 10 or more A and A* grades – and almost half of all grades were A* or A.
“This year’s group of GCSE students have excelled in their results and there are a lot of very happy tears at the school today,” said headteacher Frances Manning
“With the high degree of success of our students this year, I am very proud to be welcoming so many of our girls back into the sixth form in September and would like to wish all of our outgoing Year 11 students the very best in their future studies.”
Among the proud parents was mum Katie Pryle, whose daughter Isolde Pryle gained 12 A*s and a special A* in further maths.
