In total 78 per cent of pupils achieved five grades at A*-C including English and maths – the best the school has ever recorded.

Of those, 30 per cent of grades were A* or A.

Headteacher Clive Mathew said: “Our pupils results have continued the upward trend of the last two years. We are particularly pleased with our mathematics results in which 88 per cent of the children achieved an A*-C grade.

“We thank our children, parents and staff for all their hard work and support over the past year and we look forward to working with the vast majority of the them next year as they move into the sixth form.”
