All students achieved five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths, with all girls bagging A* and A grades in chemistry and IT, and A* to B grades in physics and biology. Almost a third of students gained eight or more A* to A grades, with 89 per cent of them achieving A* to A grades in English.

Headteacher Jo-Anne Duncan said: “I am delighted to see another excellent set of examination results and I congratulate all the girls on their success. There have been some fantastic performances, with Rachel and Verity Bruce, Amy Cottier-Bedford, Sara Dixon and Emily Hopkinson all receiving a string of A*s and A grades.

“The staff at Princess Helena College are dedicated to ensuring all our pupils fulfil their highest potential and it is very pleasing to see the impact that this approach has on all the grades, with excellent value-added” scores across the board.”
