STUDENTS from Comet country have been crowned the winners of a Hertfordshire colleges sporting competition for the fourth year in a row.
More than 100 pupils from North Hertfordshire College (NHC) lifted the Inter FE Games trophy after coming out on top against the county’s Oakland’s College, West Herts College and Hertford Regional College.
Events at the games included football, netball, basketball, dodgeball, athletics, boccia and table tennis.
Lauren Womack, from the NHC netball team, said: “I thought this was the most successful games I have competed at and I enjoyed every minute of it! It was brilliant to see how many students from NHC we have competing in sport!”
Liam McDevitt, enrichment officer and games organiser for NHC, added: “All the hard work to arrange the games paid off when I saw the levels of participation and commitment from every single NHC student, they were all a credit to the college. To win the Inter FE Games for the fourth consecutive year is an incredible achievement and shows the impact sport has on our students. Well done to everyone involved in the games!”
