A COLLEGE is a step closer to moving into a historic town building after submitting a planning application.
A consultation has started on North Herts College’s plans to install a lift and add partition walls to the inside of Letchworth Town Hall, which will be used for office space.
North Herts District Council agreed in June to lease the Grade II-listed building in Broadway to the college for a 25-year period having been vacant for about five years.
A decision on the planning application is expected to be discussed at the turn of the year.
