A POP star turned gardener used her green fingers to present a gardening award in Comet country last week.
Kim Wilde visited The Leys School in Ripon Road, Stevenage, on Tuesday to pick a winner for Pride in St Nicholas, a gardening competition open to anyone living in the neighbourhood.
The former singer, who’s 1981 debut hit Kids In America reached number two in the UK charts, awarded a trophy to winner Jenny Creek as well as a 50 garden voucher.
Runner-up Alan Constable received a 25 voucher.
Kim was joined by students from The Leys and Borough councillor Phillip Bibby during the presentation.
