Three hundred pupils took GCSE exams at Barnwell School and 52 per cent achieved five passes at A*-C.
Headteacher Richard Westergreen-Thorne said: "The results are up by two per cent which is what we expected because we have gone up by two to three per cent every year for the past three to four years.
"We took over Collenswood last year so we're doubly pleased because the results are very good.
