An international cricketer bowled over youngsters when she visited a school this week.
England women’s cricketer Heather Knight – who was part of the winning Ashes team who beat Australia in the summer – visited Lordship Farm Primary School in Letchworth GC on Tuesday.
The batsman spent the afternoon working with girls from Years 4, 5 and 6, developing their cricket skills and answering their questions about her life as an England player.
Lordship Farm PE co-ordinator Pam Bush said: “We were delighted that Heather was able to visit us. As a school we work hard to promote sporting opportunities and we hope that Heather’s visit will inspire our girls. Our children thoroughly enjoyed working with a sportsperson of Heather’s calibre.”
The event was arranged by the Hertfordshire County Cricket Association.
