A third of Marriotts pupils achieved an A* or A grade with the headteacher “very proud” of all its students.
The Stevenage school’s results showed a 96 per cent overall pass rate, with 34 per cent awarded the top grades and 46 per cent A to B.
In the AS-level results, 94 per cent passed, with 31 per cent achieving A* to A grades, and 49 per cent A* to B.
Acting headteacher Geraint Edwards said: “It is a credit to the hard work put in by them and their teachers that have enabled such pleasing results. Parents and carers have played a significant role in supporting the progress of their child during these exams and need to be congratulated for all their time, energy and patience.”
All students who wanted to go to university in September had their places confirmed.
