All the hard work pupils put into their A-levels paid off today when they celebrated a successful results day.
More than 50 per cent of students at John Henry Newman School in Stevenage achieved A* to B and more than 70 per cent of pupils on vocational courses gained a distinction or better.
Most students gained a place at their university of choice and there were many outstanding individual achievements which the school will celebrate at its annual awards evening later this year.
The newly appointed head of sixth form, Wendy Howard said: “This is a really exciting time to be taking over the largest sixth form in North Herts. I look forward to maintaining the excellent record of achievement at the school.”
