The headteacher of Princess Helena College near Hitchin is “delighted” after her students achieved an “excellent” set of A-level results.
Overall the pass rate at the private school for girls was 98 per cent, with 30 per cent of exams passed with A* and A grades and 85 per cent of students achieving A* to C grades.
Headteacher Jo-Anne Duncan said: “We are delighted to see another strong set of grades, which are even higher than last year, and I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the girls and staff on their hard work. I am particularly pleased that 100% of candidates achieved A* or A grades in Biology, Chemistry, English, Spanish and History.”
Girls from the school will be studying a wide range of subjects such as medicine, classics and modern foreign languages at universities including the Royal Veterinary College, Newcastle, Trinity School of Music, Leeds and Manchester.
