A primary school in Stevenage has issued a statement to reassure parents after an alleged incident involving a number of children was circulated on social media.
Reports emerged prior to half term of an incident involving pupils – all below the age of criminality – at Round Diamond Primary School in Whitehorse Lane.
Headteacher Zoe Philips told the Comet: “An incident occurred between children at the school at the beginning of February, which is being managed through the appropriate policy and procedures.
“We would like to reassure parents that the safety and well-being of the children is absolutely paramount and we pride ourselves on providing a happy and safe environment.”
A spokesman for Herts County Council, the local authority with responsibilities for children’s welfare, said: “There doesn’t appear to be any concerns for the children’s welfare.”
