Emotions were running high at The Priory School yesterday morning as students collected their A-level results.

All students at the Hitchin school who were aiming for university of higher level apprenticeships got their places and their were several star performers, including Shona Webb (A*A*A), Laura Lloyd Jones (A*A*A*), Faiza Saif (A*A*AA), Zainab Sheriff (AAA), Philip Pearcy (A*A*A) and Joe Sheehan (A*AA).

Headteacher Geraint Edwards: “These results represent improved life chances and the opportunity to positively contribute to the growth of our great nation.

“It is a testament to their hard work, excellent teaching and support from their families.

“We want to congratulate all of them on their individual successes.

“These young adults are without question excellent role models and future leaders of excellence in whatever career path they decide to take. The school and the wider community have a lot to be proud of.”
