St Francis’ College opened its doors on Wednesday evening for an exhibition of GCSE and A-level art, ranging from paintings to photography and more abstract exhibits.

Individual works included paper cut-out work superimposing Tower Bridge onto other world landmarks like the Taj Mahal, a series of photographs showing scenes reflected in a horse’s eye, and paintings made up of bold, bright lines of colour.

The college’s director of art Tabitha Wilson said: “We were overwhelmed by the amount of support the show received, the girls really felt a sense of achievement from all the positive comments and valued the whole experience.

“The work is of a very high standard and it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all their dedication and creativity.”
