A Hitchin pre-school has celebrated its children moving on to nursery with a graduation party.
The Angels pub off Bedford Road hosted the graduation day for the 24 Strathmore Pre-School leavers – with a party that saw lots of playing inside and outside, and fun creative activities for the youngsters.
Parents enjoyed watching a graduation speech and seeing their children receive certificates and gifts at a ceremony complete with academia-style mortarboard hats made out of black paper and string.
Pre-school leader Diane Grazette told the Comet: “Its an emotional time for staff and parents, and I would like to thank them all for entrusting them in our care.
“We have loved watching them grow and develop over the past years.
“I would also like to thank The Angels for allowing us to use the venue for the day.”
The pre-school, off Old Hale Way, caters for children aged from two to four.
