A Hitchin school has been shortlisted for two prestigious prizes in the teaching industry’s annual awards.
Our Lady Catholic Primary School in Hitchin is a finalist in the Outstanding School Team of the Year and Governor of the Year categories at this year’s East of England Teaching Awards.
The school staff and chairman of governors, Ian McBain have been selected from over 9,000 nominations and will battle it out with other top education centres for a Plato, the teaching industry’s symbol of excellence, on June 24 at an awards ceremony in Bishops Stortford.
Headteacher Susan Brown said: “I am really proud of the dedication and commitment of all the team here who tirelessly work to provide an excellent educational experience in a nurturing, faith-centred school.”
