John Henry Newman had their best ever set of GCSE results this year.
At the Stevenage Catholic school, 91 per cent of students achieved five A* to C grades, and 76 per cent achieving the same with English and maths. Forty-two percent of all grades were A* or A.
Deputy headteacher Clive Matthews said he was delighted with the results. “They were a remarkable group of pupils. It’s a tribute to their studiousness as well as the support by the teachers and parents.”
