A HITCHIN primary school has been burgled, forcing staff to shut the school for the day.
Highover JMI School is shut today (Thursday), after it was discovered this morning that someone had broken in.
The offenders broke a window to gain entry to the building between 6.20pm last night and 5am this morning.
At the moment, it is not known whether anything was taken.
A spokesman said that police were still carrying out further enquiries.
