The Love Letchworth Easter events are already in full swing, with families travelling from as far as Plymouth to be a part of the action.

The Easter Trail – running until April 14 – involves using a map which can be found at the Tourist Information Centre to collect stamps from businesses in the town centre. When completed, return your map to the centre to claim a free chocolate egg. Also on offer is face painting for the children and having a picture taken with the Easter mascots.

A former Letchworth family now living in Plymouth were among those who took part.

Town centre manager Patricia Saunders said: “Many of the shops on our Easter Trail are independent businesses. Supporting them has a positive impact on our local economy, rebuilding confidence in the community and enabling businesses to prosper.

“People may not be aware, but it’s the business community in Letchworth that funds these fun activities and events, making the town centre a more vibrant place to come to.”
