A YOUNG woman was targeted by a thug on Stevenage Leisure Park in the early hours of last Thursday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and information following the incident.
It happened at around 2.40am when the woman aged 20 was approached by a man who is alleged to have touched her inappropriately before hitting her in the face.
Detective constable Beverley Jennings, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured but understandably she has been left extremely shaken by what has happened.
“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or has any information about the incident to contact the local crime unit at Stevenage police station on 01438 757175.”
* A 32-year-old man from Hitchin has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
