As a mankini-wearing Cher sang: “If I could turn back time, If I could find a way” - this is all about turning back time, in Persia, with sand. Thanks Cher
A beautiful medieval Persian princess (Gemma Arterton) is charged with protecting the sands of time – yes, they are real - but when the dagger that holds the key to the secrets of time is in danger, it falls to a young aristocratic rebel (Jake Gyllenhaal) to save the world from evil.
Swashbuckling, horse-riding and arrow dodging, the pair go on the run with the all-powerful weapon from those who would use it for their own nasty ends.
Classic stunt-filled, non-stop chase movie fare – with a bit of smooching thrown in – full of free-running acrobatics and epic sequences (that sand gets everywhere).
