THE Duke of Edinburgh will not be visiting Hitchin and Stevenage with the Queen, Buckingham Palace confirmed last night (Monday).
The Duke, who has been in hospital, did not make the visit due to his health.
A spokesman from Buckingham Palace said: “The Duke of Edinburgh will be continuing with his convalescence at home and therefore will not attend tomorrow’s Garden Party at Sandringham or accompany The Queen on her East Midlands Tour later this week.
“The Duke of York will now accompany The Queen at tomorrow’s Garden Party.”
The Queen is still due to visit on Thursday, with trips scheduled to Hitchin Market Place and Lister Hospital.
