ORGANISERS are warning that a long-standing horticultural show may not take place next year unless there is more help to run it.
Sandy Horticultural Society held its 40th show in August this year but at its recent annual general meeting all of the officers except the vice-chairman and president stood down.
Now the society is appealing for people to come forward to help with the show.
President Nigel Aldis said: "We knew that Peggy Barker, the chairman, and Linda Whiting were retiring after many years, but it was a shock when the rest of the committee went as well."
So far a treasurer and a few committee members have been found but more are still needed.
Anyone able to help can contact Mr Aldis on 01767 691333.
