Filming for the second series of BBC One’s Doctor Foster began in Hitchin on Monday.
The drama series debuted last year with Hitchin representing the fictional town of Parminster – and the crowds of production staff in Market Place have made a keen impression on onlookers.
Jason Gardiner tweeted: “I didn’t realise that there was so much work put into one short scene.”
Filmmaker Sean J Vincent intoned: “The sheer number of assistants standing around is staggering.”
Former Coronation Street star Suranne Jones plays the lead role in Doctor Foster, with Bertie Carvel and Robert Pugh also in the cast.
The first series’ five parts were filmed in Hitchin in March and May last year, and the finale attracted 10.1 million viewers when it aired in October.
