Delays on A1m at Stevenage as firefighters tackle blazing car

A car on fire has caused delays on the A1m between junctions 8 and 9 at Stevenage as police shut two lanes.
The emergency services scrambled two crews to the motorway at 10.45am after reports of a blazing vehicle on the northbound hard shouder.
Firefighters needed breathing apparatus to tackle the fire which was all out by 11.15am.
No-one was hurt in the incident which destroyed a blue Peugeot 307.
Both lanes have now reopened.
