A signalling problem which caused all Great Northern train lines to be blocked a short time ago between Royston and King’s Lynn has been resolved, but delays are expected to be felt for some time.
Because of the fault in the Cambridge area, Great Northern tweeted just before 11.20am to say: “All lines blocked between Royston and King’s Lynn. Services may be cancelled, delayed up to 30 minutes or revised.”
A Govia Thameslink Railway spokesman confirmed to the Crow that as of around 11.45am the issue had been sorted but delays are expected.
He said: “The issue has just be resolved, and it affected the line from just north of Royston up to Littleport.
“It will take time to get services running as normal.”
