Mark Hughes has left Stevenage by mutual consent.
The 29-year-old joined from Morecambe in the summer and made 22 appearances for the club this season.
However, after being dropped from the first team in recent weeks he had found himself as the club’s fifth choice centre-half behind Fraser Franks, Dean Wells, Jamie McCombe and recent signing Luke Wilkinson.
