An attacker left a defenceless young teenager with cuts and bruises after punching him in the back of the head in a cowardly attack.
The 13-year-old boy was sitting on a bench in Stevenage’s Hampson Park on Friday evening at around 8.15pm when he was punched in the back of the head by his attacker, who then ran off.
The assault left the boy, who didn’t even see whoever hit him, with bruises on the back of his head and a cut lip after he fell off the bench.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who might have seen anything to get in touch with them.
Call their non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you can help.
