A man was due to appear at Bedford Magistrates' Court today (Thursday) following a police investigation into the death of partially sighted Paralympian athlete Paul Pearce.
Mark Gollan, 38, of Abbotts Road, Letchworth GC, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving when he surrendered to his bail on Tuesday.
Biggleswade window cleaner Mr Pearce, 43, of the Crescent, Letchworth GC, died from multiple injuries after being hit by a lorry while running along the Stotfold bypass in February, preparing for an attempt on the world marathon record for his disabled category.
