Drugs stolen during a burglary at Lister Hospital could kill, police have warned.

Officers investigating a burglary at the new maternity unit sometime between 5pm on Friday and 9am today (Monday), said the vials of Atropine, Adrenaline and Amiodarone could prove deadly.

Pc Chris Surgey said: “These drugs are predominantly given to patients in cardiac arrest and if they were to be administered to a healthy person they could have potentially fatal consequences.

“I would urge anyone who knows who may be in possession of these items, or anyone who may come across them, to contact police immediately.”
