Boro midfielder suffered ankle injury against Preston North End

Roarie Deacon is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.

The Stevenage midfielder picked up an ankle injury in the recent match at home to Preston North End and was due to undergo surgery earlier this week.

Physio Paul Dando says in his programme notes: “He saw a consultant...who highlighted his concerns to the long-term stability of the ankle and indicated that an arthroscopic procedure was necessary to examine the extent of the damage and perform a repair/stabilisation off the back of his findings, should this be necessary.”
