The team at a Shefford Indian restaurant are gearing up to compete in the Culinary World Cup competition in Luxembourg.
Dalchini Spice – which is owned by Sumon Chowdhury – was shortlisted after competing in another contest, The Premier Chef, and the team hopes to see off 57 competitors to win the prestigious award next month.
Sumon told the Comet: “I have a lot of dreams about the curry industry and how to make it better. I am continuously working and every night I spend time trying to think of new and exciting ideas.
“I have never forgotten traditional, but I also incorporate new styles. This not only applies to the flavours and cooking techniques used to make the restaurant’s food, but also to the service.”
The Culinary World Cup takes place from November 23 to 29.
