A cyclist remains in a critical condition in hospital one week after a serious crash in Stevenage.

The incident – involving the cyclist and the driver of a Fiat 500 – occurred in Monkswood Way, at the traffic lights junction for Asda at about 4.40pm last Thursday.

The cyclist – a man in his 30s – sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains at this time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or events leading up to it should contact the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number ISR 514 of January 4.
