A cyclist was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Whitwell yesterday.
A cyclist was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Whitwell yesterday.
The crash occurred in Codicote Road, near the junction with Three Houses Lane, at around 2.45pm.
A black Volkswagen Polo – for reasons unknown at this stage – collided with the cyclist in his 40s, who was riding in the opposite direction.
The man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital.
His condition is not currently deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The female driver of the Polo was not injured.
