A MAN was due to appear in court today (Thursday) charged in relation to a crash in which a man was seriously injured.
Dean Chadder-ton, 24, from Mild-may Road, Stevenage, was arrested and charged with aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving without a licence and having no insurance.
The crash happened on April 1 at 4.20pm when a Vauxhall Movano was in collision with a lamppost. The driver of the vehicle left the scene. The passenger, an 18-year-old man from Kneb-worth, suffered serious injuries and after undergoing surgery at the Lister Hospital is currently making a slow but steady recovery at home.
