TWO teenagers were robbed within an hour on Sunday morning in Stevenage by what police suspect are the same couple.

An 18-year-old man walking with a friend on Fairlands Way was robbed between 1am and 1.30am before a second 18-year-old man was robbed on Bridge Road West between 1.30am and 1.50am.

Their assailants are described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall with spiky hair and wearing dark trousers, and a female in her mid to late teens with blonde shoulder length hair.

Pc Leanne Barnes, investigating said she believes the same people carried out the crimes as they took place close in time and location to each other.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Sunday and believes they saw the suspects to contact me with information. It may be that you were driving or walking and saw them or maybe you heard something which could be of importance.”
