A couple have appeared in court in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old Stevenage traveller.
Yesterday (Tuesday), John Boy Ward, of Clarkson Court in Hatfield, and his wife, 21-year-old Joleen Josie Ward, appeared at St Albans Crown Court.
Mr Ward, 33, is charged with the murder of relative Thomas Ward, who was shot outside the caravan where he lived in Dyes Lane in Stevenage on April 23 last year.
Mr Ward pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded in custody. His wife pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender and was granted bail.
Their trial is due to be heard later this year.
