Coronation Street star Wendi Peters heads up the cast for this year’s Stevenage pantomime, the Gordon Craig Theatre has announced today.
The 47-year-old, best known for her role as Cilla Battersby-Brown in the ITV soap, will play baddie Carabosse in the Lytton Way theatre’s Sleeping Beauty show.
Wendi – who has recently finished touring the UK in Oh What A Lovely War! – stars alongside Aidan O’Neill, who will be playing Chester the Jester, and Stevenage’s favourite dame Paul Laidlaw.
More cast members are still to be announced ahead of the panto, which runs from November 27 until January 24, 2016.
Tickets, which are already on sale now, start from £15.50. Call the Gordon Craig box office on 01438 363200 or visit www.gordon-craig.co.uk to book.
