Who celebrated 60 years serving as a Councillor on April 3. Frank first joined the Parish Council as it was then on April 3, 1946 when meetings were held in the Tin Box in Hitchin Road. He has served on most of the committees and was chairman for a number of years. He was also elected to Biggleswade Rural District Council in 1949, being Chairman for four years. In 2002 Frank was a finalist in the Mid Beds District Council Geoff Rogers Memorial Awards and in 2004 won the Award, which was for outstanding service to one or more of the Town, Parish, District and County Councils. AT the Town Council meeting on April 7, Chairman Brian Saunders congratulated Frank on his wonderful achievement and presented him with a garden chair and a rose bush.
