A pensioner from Stevenage has been missing since about 10am this morning, and police have now appealed for the public’s help to find him.

Barry Matthews, 72, was last seen at his home in the town. He is described as being of heavy build and wearing glasses.

A police spokeswoman said Barry was last seen wearing a “dark green padded knee-length coat, dark brown trousers, brown boots and a Crocodile Dundee-style hat”.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Barry’s welfare. Anyone who sees him or knows where he might be should call police immediately on 101.
