DEHYDRATION, heatstroke and sunburn are the most common heat related problems.
But GP surgeries and Lister Hospital have not seen an increase in these problems during the hot weather this week.
A spokesman for Lister Hospital said: "This has just been a hot snap and we haven't had a significant increase in admissions."
A North Herts and Stevenage Primary Care Trust spokesman said: "At the moment, none of our GP practices has reported seeing an increased number of people adversely affected by the heat, so it seems that residents are taking sensible steps to avoid the most common heat-related problems."
Advice for the hot weather
* Avoiding long periods of time in the sun
* Drink plenty of fluids
* Avoid alcohol and drinks containing caffeine.
* Avoid strenuous physical activity if possible and take care to cool yourself down if you feel you may be overheating.
* Always wear a hat and use a wide-spectrum high sun protection factor (SPF) 15+ sunscreen.
