When I joined the Comet as a junior reporter back in 2010, the world of journalism was a different place.

It may have only been eight years ago, but print was king, and social media was in its infancy.

I recall automated Facebook posts and reporters without Twitter – now those two mediums are vital tools in the journalist’s box and ones we can’t do without.

Facebook, in particular, has created new communities and allowed those living on each other’s doorsteps to share information and news in ways not previously possible.

Enjoy Baldock More reflects that change.

We appreciate there are already groups in the community which are doing a fantastic job of being that vehicle of information, and our goal is not to step on anyone’s toes, but to accentuate the positive.

We want to celebrate Baldock, and the best way to do that is to encourage others to do the same.

To find out and get involved visit our Enjoy Baldock More Facebook page and take a look at the new website – www.enjoybaldockmore.co.uk.
