A CHEQUE for £900 has been presented to the Garden House Hospice from Tracey Parsons, the lady captain of Royston Golf Club.

The money was raised as a thank you to the hospice which looked after her friend, Neil Burn, a retired Herts police detective chief inspector who died in September 2004 and whose widow Melanie is also a member of the golf club.

The money was raised at golf days, coffee mornings and other functions plus raffles and donations.
