TWO local colleges are getting ready to train the winners of tomorrow.

Proud to have been awarded Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) status in sports and fitness coaching by the Learning and Skills Council are North Hertfordshire College in partnership with Cambridge Regional College.

Becoming a CoVE is being officially announced this evening (Thursday) at the Goldsmith Management Centre in Letchworth GC in front of representatives from the sporting industry, the LSC and local schools and businesses.

CoVE status has been awarded to the two colleges in recognition of the outstanding quality of sports education they have provided for 16 to 18-year-olds. Both are focussed on using sport to keep young people motivated in education.

CoVE not only recognises the outstanding contribution the colleges have made to sports education but it will also enable them to provide local youngsters with some of the very best sports education in the country.
